Don't rule out good stuff just because of the jargon

There are reasons why corporates invest so heavily in things like Systems Thinking, Lean Operations, Process Improvement and Service Excellence. They work and they deliver benefits.

The thing is, once you strip away the corporate like labels they are also the exact same things needed by Charities today - 'do more with less', 'be more efficient', 'get more bang for our buck', 'be more productive' 'waste less', 'improve service'.

There are ways to make use of what are perceived as 'corporate disciplines' without the huge investment simply by re-using, recycling and reframing them in ways that work for your Charity.

Charities recognise the need to innovate - sometimes re-using knowledge in a way that's 'new to you' is just as innovative as something newly invented.
